It's Time We Make A Difference... Let's Go Gamers!

The title is actually the slogan of once a Facebook group now a big community of hardcore gamers called Let's Go Gamers. So what's LGG all about? I'll explain more after the jump.

In this day and age of casual games, mobile games like Angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies, Facebook online games like Farmville, etc. a lot more people got involved into video gaming due to the accessibility and relatively simple nature of the these games. Gone are the days that the word "Gamer" is exclusive only to a group of people whose passion is into video games and building skills in order to compete with it. Heck, even your grandma can be a gamer now.

Well, we can't blame the game developers for creating casual games and reaching out to the non-hardcore gamers as the hardcore gamer community isn't that really big. And also, let's keep it real, everyone needs to make a buck, which also goes for every game developer out there. However, it seems that we hardcore gamers are beginning to lose the identity we are once known as. The word "Gamer" seems a very generic term now.

So what's LGG's say about that? “Enough is enough. Let the n00bs stay in facebook because we’ve got a new home. We truly believe the only way to keep our identities as Gamers is uniting together."

Basically, Let's Go Gamers is a social community network composed of hardcore gamers. This is the place where you can mingle with your fellow gamers, talk about your favorite game genres, invite fellow gamers to play online, read and write blogs about video game news and topics, create clans, run events and tournaments, and share pics, videos and other gaming stuff.

Do you consider yourself as a "true" gamer - someone who plays REAL games that takes REAL skills? If your answer is yes, then by all means please join us. Like the Facebook page first then once you get the invite code, you can register at the site. More than 1500 gamers already registered in the site for the first 3 weeks. Great start, and it keeps getting better and better.

I call to all the hardcore gamers out there. Join the brotherhood. We have a new home.
